This is due to the "Prevent participants from saving chat" setting being enabled in the Zoom meeting host's settings at lately Zoom is behaving in strange ways (MacBook Pro ). The 'Chat' Icon is missing between 'Home' and 'Meetings' (see screenshot). Can't receive messages. Zoom - Chat settings · Sign in to the Zoom web portal. · In the navigation menu, click Settings. · Navigate to Chat option under In Meeting (Basic).
